Backgound/Bio

Kelly A. Manning is the State Director for the Colorado Small Business Development Center Network. She oversees the operational management, strategic planning, and financial planning of a $2.4 Million dollar federal and State program. Manning originally joined the Colorado Network in 2000.

Since she came to the Colorado, she successfully reorganized the program to meet a national accreditation standard. This was a federal requirement to continue receiving federal dollars for the State of Colorado. Presently, Manning sits on the National Accrediation Board and is the chair of the National Veterans Committee. In her spare time, she is an adjunct professor teaching business classes at Redstone College.

Previously, Manning was a SBDC Center Director in Texas where she served a 7 rural county region. She directly provided business consulting and training for entrepreneurs.

Due to her SBDC success, a company recruited her to help build a new expansion project in Kingsville, TX. She became the first women Vice President of Operations in this telemarketing company. Working with the city of Kingsville, she was able to hire and train over 500 employees becoming one of the largest employers in Kingsville, TX.

Manning attended New Hampshire College School of Business obtaining a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Manning also has a Masters in Communication with a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the University of Denver.
